General Usage

     Oris 08 is a system for remote positioning and tracking of vehicles, which uses several different operating services, such as GPS - for defining exact position,GPRS - for data transfer, Internet - for providing preview through Web or Desktop application.

     TThe device Oris 08D is installed into the vehicle, and it consists of GPS receiver for defining the exact location, andGSM/GPRS module which uses mobile telephone network for data transfer to the server. Besides basic parameters - speed, direction, and the exact position, the device has a possibility to send several different statuses which it is enabled to detect, such as: accumulator voltage level, opening/closing door detection, panic taster activation, as well as special tasters designed by end user. All data obtained in this way are being sent to the control center, where they are being processed, and users of the Oris 08 system can monitor their vehicles in the real time through the web application Oris 08W, or specialized Desktop applications Oris 08DA.

     Galeb Group Company offers three commercial models of the Oris 08 system use:

          -First model - through the Web application Oris 08W, where end users use the Internet, by authorization for access the application with user name and password, in order to track vehicle on the map in the real time, as well as to preview vehicle moving analysis for a certain period, and to create various reports. In this case, after buying a device, the user would pay only for using the application, on monthly basis.

          -The second model assumes installation of the complete Oris 08 system in end user’s premises; in this case a server with database is being installed, along with several applications which serve to that server, as well as a specialized application Oris 08DA, which communicates directly with database, which is used for administering of complete motor pool, for providing preview of the whole transport fleet, as well as different types of analysis, and creating certain reports which improve vehicles utilization and provide significant expenses reduction.

          -The third model offered by Galeb is installation of desktop application on particular computers of the end user, which will, via internet, use services of the control center located in the headquarters of the Galeb Group Company. In this way, using desktop application provides more comfortable and more detailed work with data, but you are also restrained by the place from which you can monitor vehicles, which is the only advantage of the web application.

     When we talk about expenses, first of all, we mean on timely redirection of vehicles - redefining of the route, the system helps transporters to improve their realization by avoiding potential delays, and to meet their clients’ requests in the fastest and the most effective way. Due to various analysis provided by Oris 08, it is possible to optimize the motor pool and to influence directly to improvement of the fleet utilization.

     System Oris 08 is flexible and modular enough to meet also the users’ specific requests in all its segments, on the hardware and on the software as well.
